The Hideaway is a visual exploration and discovery visually-based low-poly game with Hardcore survival game mechanics.
You are a member of an exploration gone wrong, lost and wandering in the wilderness without food, water and weapons, your objective will either be to survive and contact an aid center by repairing your transponder and antenna or explore the environnements and discover their fauna and flora, without harming your environment in any way.
In The Hideaway Exploration mode, you'll explore and discover many different biomes and microenvironments, from fauna to flora, with realistic meteorological events, sounds and much more, in a calm and soothing experience. Following your only objective : contacting an aid center.
However, if you play in Survival mode, nature will exercise its rights over you and may become either your home or your worst enemy. In the survival mode of The Hideaway, diseases, global energy, hunger, thirst, body temperature, exterior temperature, blood pressure and volume, poisonous plants, and much more will make the wilderness a harsh place,
Explore : Fully interactive beautiful and lively environments from small forest biomes to large islands and deserts
Observe : Many sorts of animal will be surrounding you during your journey from cows to deers
Experience : Mother nature can sometimes be really impressive and beautiful, from tornadoes to snow storms, eclipses, full moons, northern lights, starry nights and many more.. Experience pure nature
Survive : You will have to explore the wild in order to find food, water and avoid poisonous plants and animals in order to survive
Face the elements : Body statistics are realistically simulated in The Hideaway. In survival mode, you will have to regularly check your vital signs, from blood volume to body temperature, energy... in order to stay alive
Build : You will be able to build many types of wooden structures with logs / wood pieces that you will need to find in your environment
Customize : You will also have access to a large choice of furniture to completely customize and personalize your buildings
Audio environments : Simply listening at the different atmospheres, music, water drops, rivers, wind, seas, weather events and the different animals sounds will make you feel the environment like never before
