Macabre won't be your stock-standard, cliché horror.

No haunted house. Or creepy asylum. But a fresh take on the genre that explores unchartered territory. Moving beyond cheap jump scares and gore, Macabre will create an immersively terrifying and profoundly unsettling atmosphere that gets your heart pumping and your hairs on edge.


In our eyes, it's the unknown that's scary. That's why in Macabre, everything from maps to objectives and puzzles are completely randomised. So every time you play, you'll never know what unique set of challenges awaits.

The objective is simple.

Work with (or against) other players to solve procedurally generated puzzles to escape. But watch out! As you search for clues, you'll need to keep an eye out for the cunning creatures that watch your every move, waiting for the opportune moment to strike!

But what about Single player?

Macabre completely ​supports the diehard horror fans, with procedural maps that scale to the number of players. We just think you'll stand a more of a chance in company.

Development

Built in Unreal Engine 5 for PC, Macabre will bring the immersive and terrifying experience of high-end single-player horror games to a multiplayer audience.
