Grim Quest is an old-school turn-based RPG with minimalist aesthetics and a retro vibe. It is set in a surreal and gritty dark fantasy world, with elements of Lovecraftian horror and Freudian psychology thrown in for good measure, and puts a lot of emphasis on atmosphere and immersion, with dark visuals, music and lots of written text. It tries to blend ttRPG text adventure, roguelike dungeon crawling and classic RPG turn-based combat system into something fresh and, hopefully, unique.

Welcome to Ashborne, an ancient city poised on the brink of terror and mandess, besieged from within, as well as without. Take control of one of the city's countless mercenaries, and shape its destiny alongside your own. Uncover the secrets of the mysterious Dark, as you explore the ravaged ruins of a fallen civilization, and, at the same time, plunge in the hidden depths of your own mind to face your inner demons. What will you find amidst all that horror and desolation? Do you even know what it is you're looking for?
