Secrets of Soil is an artistic experience set in a cosmic underground representation of the world beneath our feet. The microscopic, subterranean landscapes, as visualised and reimagined by the artist, aim to give players an understanding of the many citizens of the soil and the essential roles they play in the soil’s ecosystem. Witness how bacteria and plants speak to each other. Glide through vast fungal webs, create earthworm burrow sculptures, or simply relax as you linger in dazzling soilscapes and explore microscopic ecosystems. Unearth the secret of how this underground cosmos could help to save us from climate chaos.

Players navigate their way through the various vibrant landscapes, exploring the miraculous microbiology of the soil and the creatures who live there.

Secrets of Soil is an artist’s vision that was created after extensive research, the project received input and support from leading plant and microbial researchers at the John Innes Centre, UK. Secrets of Soil is freely available on Steam, as an interactive experience, with a free 360’’ video version also available.
