JPN Burst is an introductory game to Japanese. In the game, you must learn and type the presented Japanese characters to proceed.

Focus

The Japanese writing system is composed of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Instead of A to Z, Hiragana characters range from あ (a) to ん (n). If you can learn Hiragana, you should have no trouble learning Katakana, because they cover the same sounds but with different characters.

JPN Burst will only cover Hiragana and Katakana, because Kanji may be overwhelming to beginners.

Features

• Learn Japanese! Each lesson is a brief summary of each kana group’s distinct features and audio cues to help ingrain the information.
  
• Features both Hiragana and Katakana!
  
• Typing Action! Your speed is only capped by your typing ability.
  
• In-Game Help! If you are stuck on remembering a certain kana, have no fear. You can mash your keyboard. Or you can use the in-game tools to get hints and answers.
  
• Re-Playable Lessons! If you need to go back and review, you don’t have to backtrack to another part of the world map. All lessons are available through the menu.
  
• No Pressure Mode! If you feel like the challenges are too hard, you can take your time in No Pressure mode, where there are no time limits.

JPN Burst will not cover stroke order, grammar, and Kanji at this time.
